The following shall be given priority for admission
to the Vidyalaya:
i) Civil / Defence sector (I) Children of transferable Central
government employees including ex-service men.
ii) Children of non - transferable Central government employees
including ex- service men.
iii) Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of
Autonomous Bodies/ Public sector Undertaking / institute
of higher learning of the Govt. of India.
iv) Children of transferable state govt.
v) Children of transferable and non -
transferable employees of autonomous Bodies/ Public Sector
Undertaking / Institutes of Higher learning of the state govt.
vi) Children from any other category
(a) KVS under public sector undertaking/ Institute of Higher
learning which finances the K. V fully.
(b) The priorities given for KVS under Civil/ Defence Sector will
follow the same sequence thereafter.
ELIGIBLE AGE FOR ADMISSION
(A) A child must be at least 5 years old as on 30th of Sept. in the
academic year in which admission is being sought.
(B) For admission to class I, and for subsequent
classes, the eligible age would be reckoned again with reference to
30th of Sept.. with a proportionate increase over 5 years.
An upper age limit for admission is fixed as the
minimum age limit plus 2 years. No child would be eligible for
admission in a class if the age is more than the maximum prescribed
age. The maximum age would be relaxable by two years for handicapped
children.
METHOD OF ADMISSION
{a} For Class 1:-
No admission test shall be conducted for admission to class 1st. All
applications received shall be divided into the seven categories in
order of priority. The selection list will be prepared category wise
on the basis of merit which will be determined by the number of
transfers during the proceeding seven years w.e.f. 1st April 2006.
{b} Class 2nd and
above Up to 10th Class: For admission to these classes an admission
test would be conducted and a merit list prepared fey each category of
priority separately. Admission would be given in order' of merit going
by the sequence of the categories as prioritized in Para 3
{c} Candidates
securing less than 35% marks in each subject and less than 40% marks
in aggregate would not be eligible for a admission irrespective of
their category in the priority.
{d} Admission test would be of the level of the
annual examination of the class proceeding the one to which admission
is being sought.
{e} An admission test would be conducted in the following
subjects.
1} Primary classes {except class-1} English, Hindi, Math.
2} Middle classes:- Hindi, English, Math, Gen. Knowledge.
3} Secondary Classes:- Hindi, English, Math, Social Studies
and Science.
{f} Some concession can
be given for deficiency in language {Hindi & English}. An assurance
would be required in writing from the parent that the
language deficiency in the child would be removed within the academic
session.
